BioTech 2017 , 7th Czech-Swiss Symposium will take place June 13th – 17th 2017 in Prague.
The exhibition will cover all important aspects of advanced biotechnologies. Attention will be paid to the key technologies playing important role in bio-based economies. Microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast, and microalgae, and their enzymes, as well as mammalian cells are used for manufacturing a wide range of products in sustainable, forward-looking bioprocesses. These products represent high-performance chemicals or ingredients in demand for foodstuffs, animal feed, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Lectures will be organized in following sessions:

Selection criteria for oral and poster presentations will be based on novelty, potential for practical application and scientific merit. The official conference language will be English.
Food and Agriculture Biotechnology
Prof. Dr. Lars Fieseler from the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management, Zurich University of Applied Sciences Wädenswil, Switzerland will chair the session “Food and Agriculture Biotechnology”. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Mr. Steven Hagens PhD. will be attending and giving a talk during the session of Lars Fieseler as an “invited speaker”.
This session will focus on sustainable food production (raw materials, processing, packaging, storage); food quality/safety and food adulteration. Presentations are welcome on the detection and control of spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms; development and applications of novel enzymes; functional foods with new and improved properties; nutritional supplements with value added output traits; development of food and agricultural products with new properties by genetic engineering. A particular area of interest is application of biotechnology in agriculture.

The conference will take place in the National Technical Library, located centrally in the university campus in Prague 6.
