Phageguard winning pitch on the Making Waves event

Yesterday, on the 7th of September Mark Offerhaus held a pitch on the Making Waves event. It regarded endolysin technology, a technology highly similar to phage technology used in Phageguard. Endolysins are the enzymes produced by Phages. We were voted the best Dutch innovation.

The Netherlands delegates Phageguard with the most innovative idea

Phageguard won the jury award at the Making Waves event for smart and achievable ideas on water, climate food, health, energy and transportation. Phageguard, a company that develops technology against resistant bacteria, will represent the Netherlands in the semi-finals of Ideas from Europe in Estonia, held November 2017.

The jury praises the company’s initiative about the simple applicability of the idea. Honorary guest at the event Making Waves was Kofi Annan, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. He was also impressed by the presentation of Micreos group CEO Mark Offerhaus.
