Phageguard solutions highlighted at the IAFP: Reducing Listeria and Salmonella in Seafood
Recent advances in understanding phage applications to mitigate foodborne pathogens on Seafood
Phageguard will be contributing to the IAFP 2021 by presenting recent advances in phage applications to mitigate foodborne pathogens, such as Listeria and Salmonella on seafood products. Two of Phageguard its team members will be speaking during the IAFP; Joël van Mierlo, Ph.D. and Steven Hagens, Ph.D. Joined by convenors Sofia Feng, Ph.D. & Matt Moore, Ph.D.
The presentation will be held during the exhibition (scroll further down for the exact booth location). Our team will be ready to assist you and provide further details about reducing Listeria on RTE seafood production and Salmonella on salt- and fresh-water fish. Although seafood is mostly associated with Listeria presence, Salmonella contamination is not completely unfamiliar to the sector. Especially warm climate countries, such as countries found in the Asia Pacific region, are vurnable to Salmonella contamination during the processing of Seafood.
